Why are you choosing a career in nursing at this time?

There are some events in our life, which leave a life time impact on us. In my life, the incident that changed my perspective towards nursing was the time period when I was shifted to USA for three year. At that time, I was hospitalized due to small bowel obstruction. The experience made me realize my bona fide aim in life, maybe it was the influence of my situation but I couldn't help being impressed by the role of nurses in the United States. There are a lot of duties and responsibilities carried out by nurses in the medical field. From the first impression to the last their role was very respectable. There are different kinds of patient with different requirement related to mental and physical condition, when they are admitted in the hospital or even when they are providing services at home. The main reason I choose to be a nurse is because a sense of achievement is achieved which is moral as well as professional. A nurse professionally preserves a client's dignity while assisting him physically and psychologically. The scope is very bright for nurses, it is easier to maintain growth as there is always a job opportunity available in service such as physician offices, clinics, government agencies and private care agencies and hospitals. There are a multiple roles of a nurse: teacher, caregiver, communicator, client advocate, change agent, counselor and leader; the roles are changed in case of every patient.
