Benefits linked to full Day Learning

Introduction

In the year 2009, the Ontario Ministry of Education decided that, by fall of 2010, Ontario will be offering full-day learning for all four- and five-year-olds. It was the first place in the North America that offered this service. In order to facilitate the public, the government announced subsidies for needy families, who required help to deal with the extra cost associated with extended day programming, pre and post school hours.
