Solar energy is the form of energy gained by capturing the light the earth receives from the Sun. Since it discovery, solar energy has been considered a nearly perfect answer for energy requirements of every country due to its universality, as it comes from the sun. To gauge the power of sung, the average person just has to spend in the process of installing equipment needed for capturing and storing solar energy. The cost of the required equipment is declining gradually as one can see installed equipment at many locations. The main advantage of solar energy is it does not pollute and the capturing process is relatively simple and easy to maintain.

There are ways to exploit the solar energy that reaches the earth: by means of heat which is generated by absorption of radiation. The solar energy is renewable energy and due to its environmental sustainability, it is also called green energy.

The wildlife and humans equally depend on plants that sustain all food chains. Solar energy can be considered as the source of all forms of energy used in the world today, with the exception of nuclear energy, from coal and gas to geothermal and tidal power. Humans use solar energy by converting it into other kinds of energy: chemical energy, electrical energy, thermal energy, kinetic energy or biomass. The term solar energy is, more often used to describe thermal energy or electricity gained from the primary source of energy that is radiations from sun.

The solar energy presents very exciting opportunities for power generation.  We can get enormous amount of energy without any charges just by erecting a specialised panel or sheet each day and there is no one who can charge anything for using the any amount of sunlight. But unfortunately, the initial cost of equipment used to realise the power of sun is very high. It is noteworthy that, solar energy can cost too much.  So we must make solar energy more economical in order to make it affordable for masses. There are hundreds of people and specialised institutions currently undertaking rigorous research in the area of finding ways to generating affordable and economical solar energy.

There solar energy can be, if used efficiently, of great help in fulfilling the energy needs of large portion of the world population who do no have access to electricity. The sun is already contributing substantially to human energy needs worldwide. The solar power generation industry is rapidly growing and this industry is now earning billions.
