Part One

The goddess mythology is the super natural creature and immortal being in the conventional and religion myths. There are a number of examples of goddesses in different cultures but the underlying vision of all variety of goddess baesd on the constant image of life with the living unity. It represents the everlastingly qualities of the feminine which pattern the lives of the women. Since, every single goddess is only one of its kind and belong to different culture but all have the more or less same qualities of humanity and unity. The goddesses posess the feminine principle which manifests the qualities as based on culture, they place value on relationships, and in case of psychologically they place value on spontaneity, instinct, and inituition (Baring and Cashford, 1993, p. 7).

Moreover, the spirituality of the women is visioned as the goddess mythology wherein such a case, the women are resembled with the goddess mythology as they are found to be creative and strong. According to the concept of goddess mythology that the women are provided with the intellect of superior being by the goddess mythology.

There is the increased significance of the immanence of Goddess. The Goddess is divine and deserves love and respect who is associated with the natural world and animals. This is why, myriad of goddess have been depicted with the wings as if they were perceived as the animals. For instance, the Goddess Iris was depicted with the bird and considered as timorous dove who had beautiful wings and worked as the messenger. Moreover, the Goddess Athena was the goddess of wisdom and peace which caused her to be symbolized as the owl. On the other hand, the animals are also resembled with the women in terms of their utilization as the animal creature where their bodies are used for the exploitation. For instance, the females are enforced to become mother, kept as slaves, or used as prostitutes (Adams, 1990, p. 59).

Introduction

The concept of Ecofeminism can be defined as a feminist approach towards environmental ethics. In general, it is a theory or a movement which applies the principles as well as ideas of feminism to the issues of ecology. According to the ecofeminist views, the women and animals are interrelated with each other. This view happens to exclude women from humankind and represented as the animal as previously every goddess was related with the sacred with the animals. Hence, the former divine representation of women has been exploited under the concept of ecofeminism where the women are symbolized as animals so consequently treated brutally as animals. Women are happened to face the oppression by manipulating their capabilities and liberty.

The ecofeminism is considered as the spiritual response to the ecological crisis based on the accelerating climate change, increased pollution, ending violence against the women in the economy.
