Introduction

EBay is a convenient online store that offers customers a wide range of products which ranges from art and antiques to mobile phones, instruments and vehicles. Currently, EBay ranked as the number one online store that is serving around 94 million active users all over the world. It has brought both buyers and sellers from diversified backgrounds on one platform and now they can trade things with just a click of the mouse. One other attractive thing about EBay is that it not only allows buyers to buy and sellers to sell but also facilitates them with the option of negotiation. For instance, if someone has to buy something from eBay he/she will have to bid, if the seller thinks the bid is appropriate then the deal seals else the seller will wait for another bid from the same buyer. This will continue to happen until both buyer and seller are not satisfied on a fixed price (Ethiraj, 2000).

EBay is famous among people as they have the freedom, the liberty to sell almost anything to anyone. It has eased up everything for customers as now they have the ease of sitting at their home or offices and order items of their choice. EBay was established in 1995, and since then it has shown a stable growth, and this success are likely to continue in the future. This paper will focus on the strategy that would be helpful if eBay implement it (Bellizzi, 2000).

EBay is already the market leader just because of its innovative strategies. Still there is a lot to do. At this stage according to my opinion should implement the strategy of not selling some categories which I'll discuss here. This strategy will help eBay in improving the image in the market and help in lowering down the risk or market threat.

In this part of the assignment, I will suggest about the things which in my opinion should not be sold at EBay Online store.

The first category of things that caught my attention was selling up of replica products; replicas of different watches, phones, car kits and other products are being sold on Ebay.
