The MRI technique has developed into a tool for detecting breast cancer. It was accepted and allowed legally by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) as a diagnosing instrument during the 1990s and further evolved into functions such as screening, treatment, disease staging, and surveillance. However, the effectiveness of this technology in this arena has not gained sufficient evidence and more information is being gathered on its implementation. It is still under investigation whether the application of such a device is accurate mainly because of the possible difficulties and expenses related with the device. Furthermore, limited research has been done to support the effectiveness of breast cancer awareness with MRI technology.
