Parts and Functions of Ear

The ear is divided into three sections: the outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. The outer ear begins at the ear and goes through the ear canal to the eardrum. The middle ear begins at the eardrum; the acicular chain is about as far as the worm. The inner ear is the cochlea and the auditory nerve, which continues until the hearing and speech centers in the brain.
