Semantic Web Essay

The World Wide Web has brought a profound change in the manner in which we can communicate, work and perform business transactions. Today, we have access to millions of resources present over the internet in spite of the geographical and language limitations. Today we possess the ability of making pecuniary dealings over the internet. These are the factors that have contributed a great deal towards the success of the World Wide Web (Mika, & Tummarello, 2008, pp. 82-87).

Semantics web enables the users to delegate various searching tasks to software, it enables the web browser to process the content of the web site and make logical deduction for solving the everyday problems that are being faced by the users while searching and making transactions over the internet. The Semantic Web is an extended Web; it is endowed with more meaning. It develops universal languages that allow users to find answers to their questions more quickly and easily with the best structuring information. It will allow users to delegate tasks to the Semantic Web tools, which may be able to process the information.

Most websites are built on language HTML with tags or labels that are displayed when viewing the source code, but remain hidden in the normal display of browsers and contain information about the content of the page, links to other pages, font formats, color, paragraphs, images, videos, etc. The origins of the Web are based on the open and universal basis of Web: language HTML, and use of files ASCII and graphics GIF and JPG. This allows search engines classify documents HTML of the net and put them in a web page as an index or catalog, which can be displayed by the browser, because the language HTML conforms to standardized rules, all computers can correctly reproduce those documents. However, the language HTML fell short therefore oriented presentation of data, the information offered is very limited, cannot describe data and not extensible, i.e., only offers a small number of labels. The system evolved and made some improvements to make this more dynamic language with the introduction of other elements such as DHTML, JavaScript, style sheets, and even added to other languages that allow Web offer a more structured information, such as language XML, but you need other languages that allow a more detailed description of the document and its contents, and to facilitate communication between computers. And you need a new generation of search engines that can read smarter and documents quickly assess Internet (Kashyap, Bussler, & Moran, 2008).

The process of developing semantic web requires the implementation of several other languages which includes XML and RDF that can provide every page, every file and every resource or content network, a logic and meaning, and that allow computers know the meaning of the information they handle in order that this information can be presented not only display but also they can be integrated and reused.
