Introduction

Dyslexia is a specific reading disorder whose cause is neurological and is hereditary. Because dyslexia is a real handicap that has a negative impact on academic performance, it is part of a major cause of learning disabilities. Dyslexia is a condition that lasts a lifetime and for which there is still no treatment that can completely eliminate it. By cons, studies show that individuals struggling with some type of dyslexia can benefit greatly from re-education programs, based on a scientific basis, if they are strictly applied. In addition, there is a growing medium that are developed to overcome the difficulties associated. When accommodations are implemented by educational institutions, they typically allow dyslexics to achieve the expected success academically and in their careers (Bernhardt, 2002).

Dyslexia is not really a disease but a term used to describe symptoms of brain damage, ie damage to the functions of reading. Some patients only have trouble reading and spelling unusual words long, while others have to recognize the letters of the alphabet, and others to the "little words" like "a", "us", "for" " but ". Some can not read aloud well, others get it, but without understanding what they read. Dyslexia is a very important cause of school failure. The child has difficulty with attention, he struggles to read when learning to read. These are possible early signs of dyslexia.

Many children around the world who are suffering from dyslexia, need help in learning associated with reading, spelling and express their thought on paper and obtain sufficient use of grammar. When a child finds difficulty in literacy skills, ultimately suffer mental trauma and drowsy. This results in the negative argument from their peers and teachers within the school. This is the duty of the teacher to understand that this child might be suffering from the dyslexia and these children need more attention than other children in the class. For this purpose, the teacher should discuss with the principal for the outstanding teaching classes with the proper methods to overcome their difficulties in learning (Bernhardt, 2002).

There are certain federal laws which state that, dyslexic children are entitled to get extra help from their school. They need special trained teacher, a tutor or reading specialist to teach them the better way of reading and learning. This gives them awareness about the speech sounds and letter sounds which are called phonics (Lyon, 2003). A special practice and learning provided by their tutors will help them to overcome their difficulties.
