Introduction

Mankind has moved to its peak in term of civilization and has developed government system to run the affairs of the state such as providing good social life and maintaining law and order conditions. It is a fact that the most significant function of any given is the establishing rule of law where all citizens are equal. For this matter, every state develops its own law and implement in the state which forbids culprits of the society from cheating and deceiving other citizens. So the law enforcement agencies used to hold those culprits into jail and send them to courts for jurisdiction. Therefore, it is very important for the whole state that the prisoner remains away from bad activities inside jail. This report will focus on drugs in the federal prison system. The report will also cover the internal and external stakeholders of the issue of availability drugs in the federal prison system. The availability of drugs inside jail is not related to the prisoners but it has negative effect on the whole society because the society expects that the prisoners will adopt good behavior during their sentencing period. The report will also provide methods which can be helpful in eliminating drugs from the prison system.

Stakeholders

The term stakeholders can be defined as the individuals, groups and entities which influence or influenced by the actions of the underlying (presence of drugs in jails) entity system. There are two types of stakeholders such as internal and external stakeholders. The internal stakeholders are all those groups and individual who are cause of the problem or issue or contribute in issue. The external stakeholders are all those groups and individual who are influenced by the action of the system (Sacco et.al, 2011).



Internal Stakeholders

The internal stakeholders for the issue of availability of drugs inside the federal prison system includes junior jailors, senior jailors, jail administration, jail educators, police agencies, prosecutors, courts, higher management of jail (policy makers), external security of jails and federal agency which develops law for prisoners. The role of each internal stakeholder is explained below in term of their contribution in availability of drugs inside federal prison:

Junior Jailors

The federal prison system is designed in a way where the junior jailors are directly involved with the prisoners on daily basis. The junior jailors used to deal with the prisoner for almost everything which includes giving directions, providing food, keeping the prisoners in queue and maintaining other regulations. Therefore, it can be said that the prisoners are more exposed to junior jailor. It provides great room for developing a relation between the junior jailors and prisoner as their interaction is high and on daily basis. It is a fact that if two persons who are dealing or interacting with each other on daily basis are expected to involve or develop a relationship of any kind.
