Nowadays in our society drugs are easily available. Majority of the people especially the teenagers are tempted as well as excited by the effects that drugs offers. But by learning the facts about drugs, it can help the individual see the risk of the effects that drug offers.

Hypnosis

Generally hypnosis has been seen as an altered state of consciousness or trance, perhaps similar to sleep. Nonetheless, a few psychologists recently have challenged this aspect. Majority of the theories has explained that hypnosis can be precisely defined in more common psychological stages such as role enactment, illusion, relief, agreement, respect, concentration, diversion, aptitude and anticipation without the need of beseeching the concept of a special state (Graham, 1998).

Drugs

A drug is any element, solid, liquid or gas that causes physical or psychological changes. The drugs which mainly concerns the society are those which directly affect the nervous system of an individual. These kinds of drugs directly effects the brain changing the way an individual thinks, acts, or feels. These drugs are commonly known as “psychoactive drugs”.

There are commonly two kinds of drugs, legal and illegal drugs.

Legal drugs

Legal drugs are those which are controlled by the government, by price, availability and quality such as tobacco cannot be sold to individuals below the age of 18 years.

Illegal drugs

Illegal drugs have no price or quality such as heroin or ecstasy, the user can never be sure that the drug they are taking is in fact what they think it is, such as PMA ((paramethoxyamphetamine) a toxic form of amphetamine has been sold as ecstasy (www.health.ninemsn.com).
