Introduction

Drugs are those substances whose use may cause dependence, stimulation or depression of the central nervous system, or which result in disorder in the function of the trial, behavioral or mood of the person. The definition of drugs seen from a strictly scientific point of view is the active ingredient, raw material. Drugs are chemical used in the treatment or prevention of disease. A second concept that is social, as the latter drugs are prohibited substances harmful to health, which are abused in some way and bring individual and social harm. This is the important element that disturbed the brains some of the ways, either depressed, hallucinating or stimuli.

Considering the severe consequences of underage drinking and use of drugs including the possibility of damage to the endocrine system, which regulates normal development of bones, organs, and muscles the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism has made curbing underage drinking a priority. The U.S. government indicates that school- and family-based intervention programs, in which communication and experiential learning are key components, are important intervention methods for reducing underage drinking. Often, these interpersonal approaches are partnered with environmental interventions (for example, raising the prices of alcohol through taxation, increased law enforcement activity, zero tolerance policies) and media campaigns to create an increased consciousness of the dangers of underage drinking for minors, as well as for members of the community who might knowingly or unknowingly give minors access to alcohol.
