Abstract
The use of injection drugs increases the considerable rate of mortality and morbidity in the global scenario. The life threatening infections transferring via the use of contaminated syringe include Hepatitis C, HIV AIDS and other related diseases. A prime cause of such diseases is the sharing of syringes, needles and further injection tools. Three million users of injection drug out of sixteen million are suffering from HIV in worldwide. This research paper explains the significance of a comprehensive curriculum for the prevention of infections through the free exchange program. This paper describes the importance of syringe exchange program and supports access to the free exchange syringes. Furthermore, paper includes the reaction, recommendations and implications for healthcare professionals to promote the use of new and sterilized syringes.

The employment of sterilized syringes reduces the incidence of HCV, HIV and other contagious infections caused by sharing of needle.
Background of Study
Many research studies have demonstrated the prevalence of HIV AIDS allied to the use of single syringe or sharing by more persons. Research studies have provided evidence of HIV incidence and other associated infections, as well as their high risks in large regions of the country, states and nations. The risks are high in the areas where there are no adequate syringe exchange programs and pharmacies providing the OTC drugs and medical equipments such as syringes. There are some areas where the implementation of syringe exchange program is sophisticated due to the programmatic factors and rigid policies. The affected areas include the regions of Canada, British Columbia, Vancouver, and North America. In case of North America, the rate of HIV is highest even in the presence of prime syringe exchange programs.
Significance
The free syringe exchange program is the foremost strategy in order to reduce the risks factor of acquiring the life threatening diseases. This study will provide the significant measures facilitating the use of new and sterilized syringes for drug users.
