As we all know that, drilling fluid is mainly used to assist the drilling of the bore holes into the earth. Bentonite is added to increase the viscosity of the fluid and, helps the borehole to prevent from collapsing. Bentonite do not easily break down its original structure and, they are not easily removed from the borehole and acquifer and, this helps boreholes in reaching their potential yield.
