Introduction

The current global scenario of looming terrorist threats tends to make Domestic Terrorism less lethal and dangerous due to which it had been overlooked by several policy makers in United States. There are several extremists' militia groups which had been operating in United States which are closed behind the hard backs of the history and political books. These groups still pose a threat to the society in United States and reminds of their presence. The root cause of the domestic terrorism lies in the constitution which had allowed the people of the United States to carry weapons and it was explicitly mentioned in the 2nd Amendment (Bjelopera, 2013).

According to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Domestic Terrorism is referred to as illegal activities which are against the US laws including violence and using force against the people of United States or government of United States (Galhotra, 2012). The United States constitution has been able to distinguish bee the domestic terrorism and international terrorism. Discussion

On September 9/11 United States witnessed one of the major security lapse in the history which has been a major contributing factor towards global politics (Pillar, 2003). Down the lane after 9/11 attacks, several people have witnessed the exponential growth which had taken place in the industry of security, intelligence and public awareness in order to deter future attacks and terrorists activities of such nature carried out by international terrorists or domestic terrorist. However in the quest of protecting the country from international terrorist agendas, many personnel's have ignored the threats which are boiling inside the United States. Many policy makers, personnel and security agencies believed the primary threat regarding terrorism originates from Al-Qaeda and its Alliances due to which looming domestic threats of terrorism have been ignored. Al-Qaeda and its allies will remain a threat to the United States however concentrating on such activities which only lead to one sided view of the terrorism and development of strategies which will tend to be insufficient in handling the existing threats of terrorism existent in the United States.

Ignoring Domestic Terrorism

Domestic terrorism in United States is constantly in the state of denial however there have been several terrorism activities conducted within the United States by the citizens of United States which had been a serious issue yet needs attention from the government. Holistic approach must have been adopted in order to cater the issues of the domestic terrorism which is prevalent in the United States. In the quest of eliminating international threats domestic threats have been ignored due to which it had been arising constantly and yet US government has been failed in reducing such events which have had occurred in the past.
