The sexual appetite and the intake of alcohol has been a major concern for societies especially, as they are a risk to the younger generation. The reasons behind the risky sexual behavior and its association with drinking alcohol are a subject which has its basics in the way "a person is leading his/ her life" and how the personality influences the drinking and sexual patterns.

There have been many arguments regarding the patterns that influence such behaviors in an individual with respect to the orientation he / she had in life. It is been noted that those who drink more, usually do it to get a better chance at sexual opportunities or after they have drunk they get a better sexual appetite to satisfy themselves. People with disturb family backgrounds and unfortunate pasts have known to be involve in dangerous drinking habits more. Similarly, those who are high in drinking habits have had more sexual partners or one night stands.

Simultaneously, numerous case studies observed that those who are cautious in their sexual behaviors when sober are also careful after they have a drink, and those with risky sexual attitudes when sober are even worse when they are drunk.

The research on the subject has recently taken much attention as the implications of risky sexual behavior have highlighted many diseases like AIDS. This prompts the study to know what the causes of such a risky sexual behavior are and how to control drinking habits that cause such an attitude.The study of risky sexual behavior and excessive drinking is a much preoccupied study and cannot be attributed to one factor in general. The results of this study may vary from individual to individual.

And many studies relating to alcohol and sex find that there has been a link between these two activities. There have been many studies that suggest that those individuals who drink more alcohol regularly have many sexual partners than those who do not drink that much. The drawback in these studies is that they do not clearly inform about principal relationships' between the two variables.

The question is that the person who had already been thinking about having sex before drinking or does he / she thinks about it only when they drink. It is something to wonder that what initiates the sexual behavior, alcohol or it is a predetermined element.

The way the link between alcohol and the risky sex is explain, that individuals with more alcohol intake have nonchalant attitude and use this behavior to handle with their negative emotions (Cooper et al., 2003).
