Introduction

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, entitled Divine secrets in Latin America and Clan Ya-Ya in Spain , is a film comedy released on 10 October 2002 in the United States , the 30 August the same year in Mexico and 15 November the same year in Spain. Starring Ellen Burstyn , Ashley Judd , Sandra Bullock , James Garner and Maggie Smith . Directed and written by Callie Khouri (Perrakis, pp 27 - 30).

Sidda Lee Walker (Sandra Bullock) are recorded as a playwright in New York City great success - she is glad to have escaped the home of Louisiana and her eccentric mother Vivi (Ellen Burstyn). As Time magazine in a portrait on Sidda implies, Vivi had failed as a mother, it reacts completely shocked (Larson & McCaffrey, pp 38 - 45). A dispute between the women, who not only endangers the mother-daughter relationship: Sidda lose the courage to marry the man who won the last seven years that she finally overcomes her fears and starts his own family. Discussion

The four friends Vivi, Teensy, Caro and Necie live in Louisiana . They vow to be a little girl in a ritual at a cemetery eternal fidelity. Vivi, Teensy, Caro and Necie found the secret community of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Decades later, Viviane's oldest daughter Siddalee Walker called Sidda, already grown up (Perrakis, pp 27 - 30). It is a play writer and reveals in an interview that her childhood by her mother's fault was not easy. Viviane is upset because she feels shown to the world as a bad mother. Both women lead in a bitter dispute over the phone. Finally, Sidda is so angry that she unloads her mother at her wedding to her longtime friend Connor. Vivi secretly visit friends Sidda.
