Introduction

The field of psychology, no wonder, is very extensive due to our diverse culture. Different peoples have different thinking patterns and living standards. We are different from the people who have different cultures because what we have learned is different from them. And you can say we all are same because we all are humans, we can listen, walk, talk, feel and see. However, we have different preferences and choices that are included in our priority list. That is why the psychological science is divided into many sub-disciplines and sub-topics so that we can focus on the study of that particular behavior. The aim of writing this paper is to concern the influence of diversity on psychology, evaluation of two sub-areas of within psychology, and its practical applications within a different discipline.

Influence of Diversity

Like other disciplines of science, psychology is also the combination of different cultures, developing technologies, ways of thinking, historical periods, different experimental methods and evidences. Kowalski & Weston said that culture is an influence of membership in a group of people like nation and tribe. Society is not a collection of individuals only, but culture also impacts the psychological functioning of these individuals. To understand this diversity of cultural and behavior of individuals in the society, the psychology requires diversity in its major concepts.

If one wants to understand the foundational elements of psychology, than he must learn and understand the major concepts of psychology. Each of these major concepts focuses on different human behavior in a different aspect. According to psychodynamic perspective the conscious and unconscious interacting controls our thoughts and behavior.
