Outlined Plan of the Study

The research study is carried out in order to support an argument on the issue of second language acquisition. It has been always considered as a necessity to learn and acquire foreign languages, in the period of globalization. Almost every school has introduced some courses of foreign language on its curriculum. However, foreign languages are usually taught at the basic schools, but there are countries where kindergarten students are also introduced to foreign languages. The logical reasoning for presenting this study is to help non-native individuals to improve their skills for learning and acquiring any second language. Moreover, the research will also facilitate the instructors/teachers for improving their instructing/teaching skills to enable the students acquires second language efficiently and effectively. The major problematic areas highlighted in the research, for learning and acquiring second language skills, will facilitate the teachers in eradicating these major obstacles faced by non-native individuals. Therefore, the study is divided into the following main sections:

It is an introductory chapter that will consist of specific information on the background, aims, objectives, research questions and significance of the study.

The second chapter will cover the relevant contemporary academic literature specifically related to the research questions, identified in chapter one of the study. More specifically, this chapter will cover the approaches to language and communication and learning strategies for learning a second language.

The third chapter will survey the research methodology, which is selected for this study. This chapter will comprise of research design, data collection method, samples, the sampling method, research instrument, validity and reliability of the study.

This chapter presents the findings by describing at face value what the data collection has identified in the third chapter. Next, the chapter conducts an analysis by considering the meaning and implications of the findings relative to existing theory.

This chapter presents the key points identified in the form of conclusion of the study. This chapter also discusses the extent to which, the research objectives are achieved and provides recommendations and limitations to study for further research.
