Disparities on access to care for children diagnosed with Asthma
Introduction
Asthma is one of the most chronic respiratory diseases that primarily target the lungs of the person, which ultimately causes inflammation on the airways and ultimately congested or narrowed down of these ways. Asthma may significantly influence the respiratory system of an individual and may lead him or her to severe consequences. Common symptoms of asthma may include difficulty in breathing or short breathiness, tightness in the chest, coughing and wheezing. As a matter of fact, surveys indicated that the causes of the asthma can be linked to many of the factors including those of environment as well as genetic components. In addition to that, the diagnosis of the asthma is based on the spirometry, response to the therapy over the time and the severity of the symptoms. In fact, asthma is classified further in terms of its frequency as well as intensity of the underlying symptoms (Akinbami et al., 2002).
New studies show that age bracket of men and women are influenced by asthma in most of the cases, asthma starts by early on years as a child. According to survey, over twenty five thousand people are influenced by asthma, beyond which in turn roughly several thousand of the population are young children The proceeding discussion demonstrates the symptoms, treatment strategies, causes and process of diagnosing asthma in the children with prime focus over the underlying disparities (Jaggi, 2005).
Discussion

There are number of factors that cause such level of disparities among the population of children that either belongs to natural health of the individual or the access to healthcare. It has been perceived that the universal access to the healthcare is one of the most important factors to reduce the level of disparities among this particular vulnerable group of the population. The diagnosis of asthma among the children is more ...
