Marfan Syndrome

Marfan syndrome is an inherited disorder, autosomal dominant. It is transmitted from generation to generation with no sex predominance. In one third of the cases, it appears without any of the parents is reached. It is because, the first time the mutation is observed in the family (sporadic case), it is referred to as new mutation (Keane & Pyeritz, 2008). This mutation is transmitted to future generations. Pathology may go undetected until a person of puberty or even adulthood (Cunniff, 2007).
