Introduction

The purpose of writing this paper is to highlight the ethical standard that might be beneficial for the ECG group of companies for the development of the code of conduct for the employees and the organization. Therefore, for this purpose, the author presented the literature, so that the readers could have a possible idea about the importance of ethical standards and code of conduct at organizational level.

Discussion

The Code of Ethics is the other side of the Social. In fact, the mission can issue two concurrent activities, a more general devoted to the control of enterprise policies (Social Report), the other to individual behavior (Code of Ethics). Can be defined as the "Constitutional Charter" of a charter of rights and moral duties that defines the ethical and social responsibilities of each participant within the organization.

It's an effective means available to companies to prevent irresponsible behavior or wrongdoing on the part of those who work in the name and on behalf of the company, because it introduces clear and explicit ethical and social responsibilities of their managers, employees and often also suppliers to the various stakeholder groups. It is the main instrument for implementing ethics within the company. The Code of Ethics has become a tool for stakeholder manager, a vehicle for the fair and efficient transaction and human relations, which supports the company's reputation, in order to create confidence in the outside world (Barth, 2003).

The establishment of a code of conduct

Failing to be clearly understood, business ethics is more associated with a code of conduct, charter or quality label. It is measured by the same battery social criteria.

It has been a few years a real willingness of companies to adopt a code of good conduct from the recommendations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Guaranteeing freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining

Elimination of all forms of forced labor, elimination of child labor

The elimination of all forms of discrimination at work; support a precautionary approach to protect the environment

Take initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility environment

Encourage the development and diffusion of technologies friendly environment (Stanwick & Stanwick, 2009).
