Introduction

Earthquake disaster is considered as the global health concern. This is reported that around 500,000 case of an earthquake is occurring each year. Although there is a number of an earthquake have quite low intensity, but this is also noted that seven to eleven percent of the global population has been affected from it. Illness related trauma, infrastructure loss and the health care services facilities lack become outstanding results that inactive healthcare system. The goal of trained nurses was to address these health care needs of the community that was affected from earthquake areas by empowering the primarily health care through enhancing their competencies in health care delivery facilitate by Bachelor of Science in nursing. The purpose of this paper is to determine the role of professional nursing in case of earthquake disaster at Tacoma Washington community; in the latter part of this paper I will discuss how the professional nurse would use clinical judgment and decision-making skills during the disaster.

Discussion

The most powerful and earthquake is struck in the Tacoma Washington during the past 125 years, large disaster was occurred in year 1946 when around 15 people were killed, severe damage and there are a number of town has struck. This is believed that there is at least magnitude of 7 occurs when Tacoma strikes in Washington DC. This would experience that there is cost of around $3billion damage and badly affect over regional economy because there would be around 25 to 35 bridges were badly affected. Around 25,000 homes were also leaved, but not much severe damage occurs for people. In the zone of this nature disaster around 20 to 50 hospital were also badly affected and majority health care systems are also involved.
