Disaster Management Using Supply Chain

Abstract

Disasters recently established the attention of the operations research community due to the great potential of improving disaster-related operations through the use of logical tools, and the impact on people that this implies. In the introduction we describe the main characteristics of the circuit reduction, and we identify the specific issues faced in the management of these supply chains. We illustrate how operations research tools can be used to make better decisions, taking waste management operations, such as, for example, and discuss possible general directions of research in this area.

Introduction

Supply chain or supply network coordinated system of organizations, people, activities, information and resources involved in moving a product or service in physical or virtual manner from supplier to customer.
