Introduction

Canada is largely consisting of the Aboriginal communities. The name Canada is also derived from the word 'Kanata', which is an aboriginal word which means 'village'. Most of the population of Canada is comprise of these aboriginal communities which have different origin, tradition, culture and political structure. All these are considered as the communities which have their own system different from the other aboriginal communities. Each of these communities have their own ways of living, social norm, and ethical values which make them different from the other aboriginal communities of Canada. There are about seven hundred communities of aboriginal that are divided into three major groups as First Nations, Inuit and Metis (www.aboriginalcanada.gc.ca). The first Nation is consists of various communities which are located in different provinces of the Canada. Two of these communities that exist in the different provinces are Cree Nation of Wemindji and Osoyoos. These two communities belong to the same group of aboriginal people but exist in different provinces. Cree Nation of Wemindji lies in the Quebec and Osoyoos is located in the British Columbia. These communities belong to the same group of aboriginal people with the same historical and cultural background. This ids the reason that these communities are supposed to posses the same political, cultural, historical, economic and social backgrounds, but due to the distances between their location and environment there are various changes occur with the passage of time. There have been various cultural and social barriers between these communities that resulted in the change in their lifestyle. It is the natural that people adjust according to their inhabitant and environment. This is the main reason that resulted in the difference of their social, cultural, political and economic practices. This requires detailed and comparative study of the differences in all these factors of these communities.

Discussion

The large number of aboriginal communities in Canada is the main reason that provides the multicultural and multitraditional environment for the Canadian society. Most of the Canadian territory is occupied by these aboriginal people. These people have a very long and rich historical background. Canada is not the only State that has these aboriginal communities these communities are present all over the world and in different countries and exist there for over centuries. Their ancestor migrated to those places and since then these people are permanently living in these countries as the minor communities. Another example of these communities is the aboriginal and non indigenous people of Australia. All over the world the identification of the rights of these people is a major issue. There are various national and international organizations that are working for the betterment of these people like human rights organizations and other national organizations. The major concern for these organizations is to address the social, cultural and political issues of these people.
