Nurses energetically participate in assessing and confirming the responsible and adequate use of interventions to minimize unnecessary and inappropriate treatment. Nurses have priceless knowledge, information, and insight into care at last time of life and must be actively involved in related, education, research, practice, and development of policy. Respect for human dignity demands the recognition of particular patient rights, specially the power of the self determination. To treat anyone with dignity is to treat them as being of worth, in the way that is differential of them as giving worth individuals.
