Introduction

Diaspora is the phrase commonly used these days to depict any population which is believed to be transnational or deterritorialised, i.e., the one that has originated in a terrain or area other than which it presently resides, and whose economic, social and political systems go across the boundaries of nation-states or, in fact, span the entire world. There exist a number of conceptual complexities in explaining the African Diaspora, certainly, in explaining the phrase Diaspora. Present-day exploration of the phrase Diaspora are generally focused on problematising the link between nation and Diaspora together with the multiplicities or dualities of diasporic subjectivity or identity; they are focused to be celebratory or condemnatory of transnational hybridity and mobility. Quite often, the expression Diaspora is employed in a blurry, a historical and un-critical way whereby all types of migrations and movements between countries and even with-in countries are classified as Diaspora without any sufficient attention being paid to the historic circumstances and encounters that generate diasporic consciousness and communities. There are three aspects to this phrase, and it can be us be used to describe population that:

Have migrated, moved or scattered away from their established homeland

Have been dispersed to more than one location ( by whatever cause)

Have settled far from their ancestral home-lands

The term at present refers to historical mass dispersions of the people with shared origins, especially movements of an involuntary nature. The document refers to the African Diaspora on the whole. The content of the document is designed to explore the features of African Diaspora and factors that influenced it.

Discussion

This document discusses African Diaspora because at present Africa is one of the continent surrounded by serios problems. Its time to highlight the historical contexts that lead Africa to this stage. Diaspora is one of them. Even though it helped in African cultural diffusion but the dynamics of society were changed due to Diaspora. The Disapora helps us to gain insights about how cultural diffusion and how cultural ethnocentricism has hindered the cultural diffusion of African culture.

The African Diaspora

The studies surrounding African Diasporas is divided into 2 open categories. The 1st ones talks about prototypes of scattering of the people belonging to African community around the world. It focuses on identifying the diasporic identities that these populations have survived to develop in their new areas. Here distinctions are haggard between the contemporary and historic African Diasporas that refers to the Diasporas shaped during and before the 20th century. Secondly few of the studies are regarding the evaluation of the different links that the Diasporas continue to maintain with the Africa. This part places significant stress on the cultural, ideological, demographic, economic, iconographic and political flows.

It is extremely frequent in scholarly and famous discourses to radicalize and homogenize the African Diaspora and view it in regards with the Atlantic Slavery dispersal of enforced migration as well as under the umbrella of “black identity”.
