Introduction

Mr. Johnson is a 45 years old employee, living in New York. He is working in a garments factory that is located in the west of the city. He is a divorced person, suffering from anxiety disorder. Many of his co-workers said that he is facing some financial crises in the recent days, and most probably it is the major cause for his anxiety. Mr. Johnson also starts to smoke regularly.

Anxiety can be defined as the unpleasant state of feelings that is accompanied by nervous behaviour. It can be also defined as the unpleasant feelings proved after any incident. Anxiety is much different than fear, because anxiety is a feeling of worry, fear, and uneasiness.

Discussion

It was heavily raining in the morning of 20th October 2013. The day was Sunday, and all of the citizens were enjoying the holiday with the blessing of rain. Rain stopped after a litter bit of time, and the sun showed his face with a beautiful rainbow. Everybody was satisfied, happy, and enjoying the entire weather. It was the time for hang out, but Mr. Johnson was not happy at all. He was sitting beside a tree, and smoking his 3rd cigarette in an hour. Mr. Johnson was not a regular smoker, and he even doesn't like to smoke. He started smoking about a month ago, and now he used to smoke around 10 cigarettes in a day.

It was evaluated from a study that there is a strong association between anxiety and cigarette smoking. A person who is coping with stress or anxiety will be more prominent to heavy smoking. The study further suggested that heavy cigarette smoking will result in the relief of anxiety. The study assessed that nicotine of a cigarette altered the chemical reactions in the brain. Study investigated in many patients, and it was the perception of many smokers that cigarette smoking relives the anxiety level. Sudden heavy smoking is considered as a symptom of anxiety disorder (Johnson et al. 2000).

Johnson starts to walk towards his home. Suddenly, he stopped and looked at the garden where two children were playing soccer. The children were about 6 to 7 years old, and were busy in playing.
