Introduction
Foot ulcers pertain to very few high glucose diseases arising from diabetes mellitus. These diseases are caused by blood resulting from inappropriate insulin production in the body, as well as, insulin action or both. All across the world, there are 171 million people all across the world. Data depicts that there is huge number of diabetic cases expected for the future, around 366 million within the next decade (Synder, 2011, pp. 28-35).
Patient with diabetic disease often affect kidneys, feet, skin, eyes and heart in a very adverse manner. There are several complications tied with diabetes, patients with diabetes are far more vulnerable to serious consequences. One of the most commonly occurring problems with such patients comprises of foot ulcers. Foot ulcers are the most severe, yet highly risking phenomena for the prevailing world (Synder, 2011, pp. 28-35).
The term used foot ulcer is known as “DFU”, (The Diabetic Foot Ulcers). It is generally caused by Peripheral Neuropathy or the expansion of the large vessel. Most common causes for the disease pertain to trauma, stress and other neurotic pressures leading to vascular insufficiency (Synder, 2011, pp. 28-35). Secondary medical complications pertain to ineffective treatment of DFUs, leading to further complications, such as, lower-extremity amputations. It is evident that there are more than 80% of the total cases of Amputation comprising of the foot ulcers caused by diabetic infection.DFU is the most common health complication faced by diabetic patients as a consequence (Synder, 2011, pp. 28-35).
The prevailing lifestyle of mankind is contributing to the cases of diabetes every now and then. People from regions all across the globe pertain to suffer from diabetes due to their lifestyle and comfort. Diabetes is highly classified as a lifestyle disease, whereas, there are several causes lead to diabetes along pertaining to the style of living (Biatian, 2012, pp. 3-9).
DFU and its impact upon the quality of life
DFU is a lifestyle disease consequence; however, it leads to adversely affect the lifestyle of the patients. Research identifies that upon several parameters, patients with DFU tend to suffer in a much worse manner, than non-diabetic, as well as, diabetic individuals.
