Self Managed Learning

Self managed learning is the process of a self development, based on the ideology of continuous improvement. In the current volatile business environment each employee must possess the ability to assess the needs of the corporate sector, and hence develop the relevant skills accordingly. This process can be initiated at any stage by an individual, as it is based on the self critique philosophy. In the extremely competitive business environment the self managed learning processes help the professionals attain a strategic advantage. To the organization the self managed learning activity of the employees help develop a positive and performance based environment.

Self development plan and the professional development plan is the essential requirement of any motivated individual who seeks to start a sustainable career in the professional environment. In today's business environment there are numerous opportunities and exciting career paths for young and energetic individuals, hence they must be absolutely motivated and driven regarding their career objectives. It is due to this reason that I have allocated a significant effort and energy of my personal and academic life in to the development of self managed learning orientation.

Considering the significance and the benefits that the self managed learning orientation provides to the individual and the organization, the managers have to ensure that they encourage the employees to make significant decision, the empowerment of the employees will help them better understand their role and responsibilities sin the professional environment, and also identify their relevant strengths and weakness. The process would allow them to develop a self development plan, and enhance their relevant job related skills.

It is imperative for any individual to ensure that they develop their respective professional development plan on a very early basis, so that they can progress with their academic and even personal development on a highly strategic and collaborative manner (Garet et Al, 2001). This is the advantage that I have attained throughout my life and the factor which I believe has helped me choose my academic path and also other activities. The professional and personal development plans have helped my introduce objectivity and stricture in my life and motivated me to be able to attain the skills required for the fulfillment of my professional goals. I have realized that the professional and personal goals are not always independent, and in my opinion the both these factors are highly interdependent in nature.
