There are many purposes of a building and out of those many purposes, one of the main purposes that a building serves is providing comfortable environment to the people using it for their human activities. A building is expected to meet the needs of the human beings who are using the building by providing them room volume, floor space, lights and other amenities that are needed for human activities, as well as, working, living, processing and curing. Moreover, a building must also supply a comfortable, as well as, a healthy indoor environment and climate to the people who are using this building. This means that the building needs to be structurally safe and stable, as well as, fire safe.

The sustainable development also requires that the building does not provide any serious harm or pose any risk to the environment, for instance, in the form of the usage of energy. An educational building is a specially customized building that is constructed to provide a comfortable and healthy learning environment to the students. It is important that the students are provided with a building that provides them all the comfort that they need in their learning process. Another important factor to look into is the indoor environment, as well as, the indoor climate of the building. Good indoor climate and environment is necessary in educational buildings and needs to be looked into when a building is constructed for educational purposes.
