Introduction

The National Hemophilia Foundation is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for blood disorders, also prevents other complications of coagulopathy, through education, advocacy and research. The versatility of tasks requires an integrated approach to solving them. We believe that only joint efforts of hematologists, social services, social movements are able to cut the Gordian knot of problems of patients with hemophilia. A promising research has been conducted for a new product that has the tendency to reduce the frequency of treatments that children with a rare blood disorder have to undergo. Parents are excited about this new product because it means that their children will not have to get needles as often, medical costs will be lower, and their families will have more normal lives. The parents are anxiously waiting for the Board of Directors, to make a decision about funding this research.

Discussion

Large scale researches conducted at national level for developing new products to control rare blood disorder. Different products and prevention methods of rare blood disorder have been identified in past few years that have contributed significantly towards controlling the problem. Advancing medical knowledge and scientific research NHF provide grants to fund research focused on finding innovative best treatments and cures for blood disorders. This research has led to better focus on a new product, and to reduce the frequency of treatments that children with a rare blood disorder have to undergo.

Descriptive Statistics Analysis

A sample of 12 observations have been taken, which are the number of days the children could go between treatments. The results in the table below shows the descriptive statistics for the give sample of the number of days the children could go between treatments. It can be seen that the mean number of days for this new product is 10.75, while its standard deviation is 11.02, the standard deviation (denoted by the symbol s) is a measure of centralization or dispersion to variables ratio (ratio or quotient) and interval, useful in descriptive statistics. Along with this value, the standard deviation is a measure (quadratic) which reports the average distances that have data about their arithmetic mean, expressed in the same units as the variable (Henry, 2004).
