Abstract

Dementia manifests itself in women and usually different than in men, rather than aggressive Sometimes they become depressed and withdraw. When people are old and need care, this changes the relational routine in the family. The balance of giving and receiving in the meaningful relationships of the elderly patients especially mothers are again put in motion, also in the perspective of her finitude. This paper identified a background of the Dementia disease in the mothers and, care giving of their adult daughters. This paper also gives a comprehensive literature review with certain limitations and, provides results. In the end, there is a discussion which makes the readers more clear about the Dementia in mothers and, about the care giving by their adult daughters.

Introduction

For several reasons, most adult daughters want to postpone their mother's admission to a nursing home for as long as possible. One reason is the daughters' fears that the nursing home will be the last stop in their mothers' life and they would prefer to have the mothers die at home with their family near. The other reason is the adult daughters' belief that the quality of care provided at home will be better than that of a nursing home. A third reason is that a desire to have the mother participation in a family life for as long as possible. These early studies reported differences in the types of care provided by adult daughter caregivers and the perspective of the mothers suffering from dementia. Other investigations into for caregivers of non-dementia elders found that care giving behavior tended to follow stereotyped role behavior with daughters caregivers providing assistance with personal care i.e. food preparation, dressing, bathing and caregivers giving assistance with decision making and financial planning like males.

Purpose

The purpose of the study is to address the care receiving experience of adult of family nursing daughters and their mothers with kind to their reasonable cognitive impairment. The study is particularly based on the following questions: (a) how do the relationships are described among the daughter and their mothers with in dementia care? (b) How the relationship is shaped by the contextual shape(c) What are the experience that is related with health among the mother and the daughter in dementia care.

Problem Statement

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease in human being which causes the disturbance in at least one another taking function. Alzheimer's is a form of the dementia which affects the functions of brain. This disease is often occurs in the adults after the age of 65.

Research Questions

How women and their adult daughters see the experiences of this disease?

What is the description of the relationship between adult daughters and mothers having dementia?

What are the contextual factors that influence the care providing the carte received or provided?
