Introduction

In the past century many of the inventions have changed the working of the world and have influenced the era of globalization dramatically. For few nuclear energy is the greatest invention of all time and some predict broadcast units such as television and radio are more influential, however, the impact of computer is still the greatest and the way it has influenced globalization and human lives no other invention has affected the world.

Computer was not an impulsive invention and many individuals and firms have contributed in the development of the computers to become the most influential invention of all time. Individuals such as Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates have largely contributed in the development but one of the key figures is Michael Dell who is the founder of the multinational Dell Inc (Dell, 2013).

Discussion

Dell has an illustrative history which begins in the year 1984 when the founder of the company Michael Dell came with a game changing idea and inaugurated his company by the name of PC's Limited at a young age of 19 when he was studying in the University of Texas at Austin. His initial investment in the company was 1000 dollars. The visionary Michael Dell started working with IBM PC - compatible computers which were built from stock components. His business was soon hit with massive orders from customers all over the state and he quickly dropped out from the school to focus on his business as his family invested $ 300,000 in his business.
