Introduction

Death is one of the great certainties in every one's life. Some people face death in ways which are out of their control, and most of the people will be unaware of the time of their death. However, dying and death can be approached in healthier ways. By understanding the face that people differ in their perceptions about dying and death and respecting the level of differences, can help in promoting a calm and peaceful death and a healthier way of dying.

One of the primary step to take when death is near is to fulfill the wishes of the person who is about to die. If a person is near to die because of any illness then he must have made decisions about how to live and enjoy the remaining part of his life. If the requests are not practical or cannot be fulfilled, a number of options should be placed in front of the individual to try to accommodate his wishes and request with adequate care. If the person who is nearing death has been unable to participate in the planning out about rest of their lives, the others close to him should try to do what the person likes and desire.

If the person dying is in a hospice situation, he may likely desire to die because of natural death. During his final days, the people in his surroundings should try to maintain the level of comfort for him to reach natural death.
