Introduction

Dead Poets Society is a U.S. film directed by Peter Weir in 1989 with screenplay by Tom Schulman, starring Robin Williams who tells the story of a professor of literature with a group of students during 1959 in a prestigious and conservative academy. Through poetry, the teacher inspires a change in the lives of their students. The film Dead Poets Society won an Oscar for best original script.
