Section 1: Summary of the proposal

Instructional decision is very crucial for any of the academic institution. As a matter of fact, researches indicate that decision supported by information yield greater performance among students. This instructional plan is focused over the needs of students in terms of their preference as well as specific strengths and weaknesses. The essence of the objectives of this plan is to giving ample grounds to students to manage their academic life, through a focus over their unique capabilities gauged from the school data including attendance records, curricular and extra-curricular activities (Cobum et. al., 2009). According to the plan, the analysis will be done on the basis of qualitative and quantitative methods and will be performed primarily by instructors themselves (Hazzard et. al., 2012). In that regard, the instructors will be guided pertaining to the data collection. There is needed support from the stakeholders to make it successful, in that regard, those stakeholders would be taken into confidence. There are also hurdles such as the issue regarding the use of information, for that; there will be specific team that will communicate the need as well as benefit of the program. All in all, this program will bring short term as well as long term changes at my school in terms of the performance of students and its own success.

Section 2: Data Program Description

Introduction

There is much research available on the notion of the use of data for the instructional purposes. However, most of them support the argument that such kind of decisions backed by instruction yield enhanced improved performance of among students. As a matter of fact, single assessment is not sufficient, yet what are needed are the well-equipped and informed decisions through multiple data sources (Durlak et. al., 2011). In fact, school collect huge amount of data pertaining to the activities of students including those of their performance, behavior as well as attendance. However, this paper will discuss this particular concept form the purview of my school.

Brief description of data plan

This particular data plan is aimed at continuous improvement in a logical way for the purpose of ameliorating the instructions. As a matter of fact, there are vast opportunities for educator aligns their instructional policies with those of the needs of students in a specifically tailored way. In addition to that, the U.S. Department of Education has also desired of a program to enhanced student's needs and strengths (Hamilton et. al., 2009). By considering all these, this plan basically utilizes the data of students of my school from different domains to address the needs of students from the assessment of that particular data. All in all, this plan is basically focused over the preference of students in terms of their needs, as well as strengths.

Objectives

The objectives of this plan are given below:

Prioritizing instructional time;

Focusing over additional instructions for the students who strives to work on particular topics;
