Statistical methods are very important to conduct effectively and successfully. It would be very diff to make effective decisions based on the collected data without theuse of statistical methods. Another reason for which the statistical methods are important is to make individuals able to read the journals, because there are many journals that contain statistical data. Fundamental understanding of the concepts of statistics is essential for reading and evaluating most of the results sections presnt in the journals. Statistical methods are also very important for developing the skills of analytic and critical thinking. Statistics is also very important for making individuals well informed about the subject. It is also very important to understand that if statistics is not understood correctly, individuals could easily get mislead by the statistical methods (Cohen 1988).
Question 2
The main focus of nurses is to work on statistics that has multi variations to make inferences form a sample to the population from which the sample is actually extracted. It becomes easier for nurses to work on the data that includes the population of their interest. It has been observed that in most cases, the nurses tend to use a multiple regression to examine the extent to which the linear model fits the available data. Nurses use these descriptive statistics without considering the assumptions that are linked with inferential statistics. It has been observed that nurses do not select a random sample. Bu they select a sample of their interest and convenience and then generalize the results to some abstract population (Polit & Beck 2012).
Question 3
There are variosu statistical methods that have been studied and a brief discussion about these methods ios presented as follows. Multivariate statistics is referred to a statistical method in which more than two variables are analyzed simultaenously. Nurses also use bivariate ...
