Cystic fibrosis is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder which mainly affects the lungs and the pancreas, liver and intestine. Being autosomal recessive means that both the parents must pass the mutated gene to their child than only the disease will occur or else if a single parent carries the respective CF gene then the child will only be a carrier of this diseased gene and the disease will not show up.
