Introduction

Obesity is a condition of the human body in which excessive fat and abnormal mass is accumulates in the adipose tissue. The major glaring problem is the weight gain and fat bodies masses in the body. Moreover, obesity and overweight are the risk factors which welcome many chronic diseases such as diabetes, cholesterol, cancer, heart problems, joints ache. It was assumed that obesity is the problem seen in the developed countries; however, it is the issue which has catered the low income countries as well. However, the affects, and the consequences of obesity as the health promotional issue are going to be highlighted. Obesity is a global health problem which is affecting every region of the world (Barnes, 2007).

Health Problem

Obesity is something additional than just an aesthetic alarm. It tends to add the risk of diseases and health issues like cardio vascular disease, disturbed glucose level and blood pressure as well. Being tremendously obese defines; one is to be expected to have health problems related to his or her weight. The number of people living in U.S; who are extremely obese increased by the rate of 70 percent in the last decade. In the year 2000 and 2010, the rapid increase in the ratio of obesity was observed, almost 100 pounds obese rise from 4 percent to approximately 7 percent (Bray, 2004).

Obese issue is getting stronger and stronger, so Community Health Nursing has given some preventive measures to curtail the issue:

1) Make a Meal Schedule: By keeping a conventional one can avoid the chances of unplanned meals and refreshers, which usually have excessive calories.

2) Reduce Fat: Try to make healthy choices like dairy products and salads to reduce the calorie consumption.
