Introduction

This paper intends to discover how cultural responsive approaches are critical to the ways in which notions of race and nation, and racial and national identity are constructed. Culture is usually represented by both, the way it is created and also the way it is represented. In order to discuss the argument of Melani McAlister presented in 'Epic Encounters', the work of Talal Asad and Cherie Moraga will be explored.

Discussion

Let us start the discussion with the little background of 'Epic Encounters'.
