The term culture is constantly being discussed in the work place and people feels that they know what exactly term culture in organization means, but the reality is that no one can every predict the actual level of the organizational culture ( Willcoxson, L and Millett, B, 2000)
Normally it is being perceived that organizational culture refers to proper management of the progress of the organization, however it is not an easy task to define organizational culture because for a long period of time there are certain observation from some corners regarding the attributes of the organizational culture.
But generally the concept of organizational culture is described as a set human characteristics like norms, beliefs, principles and also the way people generally behaves, these set of characteristics provide each organization a unique culture (Brown, 1995), it has also being observed that organizational culture are not permanent as they keeps on changing according to the behavior of the industry culture and requirement of the customers (Willcoxson, L and Millett, B, 2000)
Organizational culture is the mixture of national culture as in organization people of every cast and religion works together, an ideal organizational culture comprises of an idea generated by group of individual working in different areas of the organization and that idea has passed the phase of coping with internal and external problem of the organization, the generated idea has survived all odds and is ready to be taught to new member of the organization and instruct them to adapt the idea during those kind of scenario.
In organization the culture can be dividing into two dimensions the first one relates to employees which include (language, concepts and ideologies) and the second one is reflected upon the responsibilities of the management (status and power, allocation of rewards and authority to take decisions), the culture in an organization is diverse therefore it makes it extremely difficult for the managers to control the culture and prevents negative outcomes of the culture( Willcoxson, L and Millett, B, 2000)
