Epstein S. “Who are your Friends?” Complexities in Multicultural Education
The author of this particular article is essentially talking about the complexities students tend to face within the multicultural education. We all are living in a society which is becoming extremely globalized and therefore the diversity is ever increasing. The underlying complexities within multicultural education are essentially related to cultural incompetence in international organizations. The students who are not able to cope up with the necessities of dealing with diversity within multicultural education are usually incompetent for handling the different challenges for working with international organizations (Epstein, n.d.). I have selected this article mainly because I feel it essentially talks about the underlying factors which results in creating incompetent personnel for the organizations. If students are able to cope up with the requirements of the complexities in multicultural education; they can help international organizations to grow in the long run. Therefore, this article provides a basis through which cultural competence within international organizations can be achieved.
Hyde C. “Multicultural Development in Human Services Agencies: Challenges and Solutions”; Social Work [serial online].
Hyde has talked about different and important aspects of the multicultural development within the human services agencies. Since the topic of my research is cultural incompetence within international organizations; the underlying article seems important for me to discuss. The challenges and solutions and all the development that is needed by the human services must have a training in relation to become culturally competent. Since all the business organizations are becoming more and more global; the need for becoming culturally competent is increasing (Hyde, n.d.). I found this article important for my research mainly because it essentially provides different solutions to help people becoming culturally competent and develop themselves accordingly.
