Introduction

I visited the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on 26th August, 2011. The experience of visiting a museum that had reopened after 5 years was amazing. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is one of the popular museums all over and truly deserves to be. Virginia Museum of Fine Arts has superb collections. The art gallery is one of a kind and the visitors enjoy the art that is displayed in the museum. Two of the most beautiful collections in the museum are discussed in this paper.

Location and Initial Reaction

The location of the event was The Museum of Arts in Richmond Virginia 200 N. Boulevard Richmond, Virginia. There were 167 attendees who attended the event. When I arrived at the event, my initial reaction was very positive. This was mainly because of the beauty of the event and because of event management. The team that had organized the event at the museum had done an excellent job because everything that had been planned was done properly. From the start of the event till the end, everything went in a very smooth manner and all the guests appreciated it very much. When we attend an event, it is extremely essential for our initial response to be positive. Therefore, when I entered the museum, I was very much excited to attend the event mainly because of the arrangement that had been done to make the event a success. The first impression of the museum that I, as a visitor got was through the glass window of the museum and through this glass window, Sarcophagus, an exceptional piece of art can be viewed. Sarcophagus is an ancient marble that shows four erotes (winged love boys) on all the four sides of the marble (Weil, 2002).
