Introduction

A wireless application is a source of communication without wired connection. With wireless applications, a user has the ability to stay connected while moving in a geographic area more or less extensive, this is the reason why we sometimes hear of "mobility".

Wireless applications are based on a connection using radio waves (radio and infrared) instead of the usual cables. There are several technologies distinguished in part by the transmission frequency used and the throughput and transmission range.

Wireless applications are used to connect remote devices easily a dozen meters to several kilometers. In addition, the installation of such networks do not require heavy infrastructure facilities existing as is the case with wired application services (trenching for routing cables, equipment buildings wiring, ducts and connectors), which earned rapid development of such technologies. The regulation of radio-electric transmissions is considered as big problem among wireless applications (Werner, et. al, 2005). Indeed, the radio-electric transmissions are used for many applications (military, scientific, amateurs), but are susceptible to interference, which is why regulation is needed in each country to define the frequency ranges and powers which it is possible to transmit for each category of use.

This paper identifies the key issues in development and deployment of wireless applications. It will further identify the experiences of IBM customers and their role in identifying and eliminating the problems.

Discussion

One of the major advances in the development of business applications since the release of the Oracle is the deployment of wireless applications. Indeed, it is now possible to create its own internal application store to offer and install applications. Two deployment methods can be identified here with respect to wireless applications:
