Cross-cultural realities at Work

What aspects of this person's work determine or indicate their status relative to others?

There are many aspects which defines a status of a person with respect to how the world works. The thing to ponder upon is how all the things in one integrated channel work together two make a formal structure which can change the whole impact of things with respect to culture. The thing to focus on this question is what are the aspects which decide status of a person at work or at any other specific task. Status attainment theory will work perfectly on this sort of assessment (Shelton, Hall & Darling, 2003). All the people of the society are integrated in one whole structure in which a person can move up and down the social class with effort and hard work. The person I interviewed belongs to a poor family and this exact status of his motivated him in attaining a better life for himself. The idea of moving up and down in social class is different in textbooks and reality. We have tried a lot to research on this topic and this explains how the structure has formed into one integrated channel. This whole Chanel is made by effort of mankind. Effort opens staircase to success and the future; it can make a difference in your life in ways you can't imagine.

The first thing that will come to your mind if you see the experience is based on construction industry. Let's make this more specific, how about if we say that the work experience was of the lowest level of labour in a construction company. The first thing that will come in your mind is that this person has to be a male because of the nature of the work. Constriction work is defending by lifting of heavy weights things and equipments and this job is generally done by a man (Paul & Luque, 2006). Keeping all the masculine and feminine theories aside this clearly explains that this job is for men and not for a women because of its nature and in the society we live in men are stronger than female with respect to physical attributes (Shelton, Hall & Darling, 2003).

In most f the construction companies in America have people from Mexico as their low level construction labour. This fact shows how most the Mexican and Latino's are involved in gangs all through Mexico and ...
