Hunting for Hope starts with a hiking journey in the Rockies intended to get at the origin of the strife between the scribe and his teenage son. Sanders start "Mountain Music I" by explaining a living in marquees journey with Jesse in the Rocky Mountain National Park. The first cause for the journey he devotes is to find out what was initating friction in the connection with his child ("Music I" 5-6). The second cause was about succinctly getting away the hurries and claims of life and feeling calm in environment ("Music I" 15).
