Introduction

Critical Thinking is one of the most vital aspects of human life. It is not only important in the personal life, but also important in professional life. It is one of the vital steps that ensure strong decision making abilities. It is the ability of Critical Thinking that helps an individual to make a decision, when it is most required that is to take a timely decision. In this paper, I will analyze the importance of Critical thinking in the workplace and will try to share an experience related to critical thinking.

Critical Thinking at Work

Critical Thinking is most important in work, when the individual has to take tough and timely decisions for the benefit of the company. We will assess this with an example. In one's workplace, a situation occurred that was in regard to an individual's debit card. A voicemail was left for the accounting individual in charge of credit card disputes by a guest stating that she was charged in error on her debit card and that someone from the hotel returns her call immediately. The accounting individual returned the phone call to get the details of the whole situation and had discovered after speaking with the guest that the guest did not know that her debit card was to have a hold on her card for the total amount for her stay and that the guest was very upset and cross with the whole situation (Noel Moore & Parker, 2008).

The guest had informed the accounting individual that because of the lack of communication from the hotel, the guest had incurred a number of overdraft charges as well as returned checks. A decision had to be made on the hotel's behalf in regard to this matter to not have the guest incur ...
