Introduction

Dwight David Eisenhower was born October 14 1890 in Denison, Texas (USA). In 1915 he graduated from the Military Academy at West Point and at the same time met Mamie Dowd. They married in 1916. In this marriage were born two sons. After the U.S. entry into World War I in 1917, Eisenhower was preparing volunteers for the front.
