Introduction

The premise of institutional leadership holds a much greater importance to the evolution of the present day leadership notions and theories. Institutional leadership has to lead a greater number of people towards a fixed goal or destination with coherence and motivation. As a result, institutional leadership is far more complex and miserable than any other form of leadership. The term itself is defined as “the leadership of an organization based upon values and ethical paradigms”. Therefore, in the context of an organization, it is more towards the deep-rooted notions of human living and conventional wisdom to cater to the fulfillment of organization needs and direct in the right direction.

The paper is a written critical analysis, it encompasses of the comparison of the espoused theory with the current theory discussed in the paper. Also, it also demonstrates the concepts single loop learning concerned with double looped learning. It encompasses of defensive behaviors, as well as, the comparison of Model I behavior with model II behavior.

The concept addresses most essential concerns in the areas of managerial behaviors; the notion pertains to the shuffling of employee behaviors and moods, which are always difficult for employees to interpret. As a result, the theory throws light upon several important and facets of institutional leadership. The espoused theory has following premises, as discussed below;

It is well said that all human behaviors are backed by several models. These models are based upon the world view of the individual, as well as, the interaction of the world view with the individual. People are unaware of mental models, and therefore, they continue to behave in same way. These models are called 'theory in use'.
